Curriculum at a Glance

The Saint Nicholas 7th Grade Curriculum, based on the National Common Core Content Standards, is divided among three teachers. The Mathematic content areas include number systems, geometry, ratios, and probability. Language Arts include fiction, nonfiction, poetry, writing, spelling, grammar, and mechanics. Science covers earth, life, and physical science. Social Studies focus is on the history and development of societies. Religion is the study of the life of Jesus.

Highlights

7th Grade students are involved in many areas throughout the school year. Each Fall we go to Camp Fitch , which is located on Lake Erie, for three days. The program includes a great study of nature. The yearly Math Olympics is a fun and learning experience. 7th Grade is responsible for the recycling bins for both the parish and school. We lead the school in the Thanksgiving Prayer Service and Ash Wednesday Mass. Each year we make badges for our Lenten Service. Many 7th graders are involved is sports. We offer Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Cheerleading, Track and the Drama and Glee Club.
