Fourth Grade

Curriculum at a Glance

The fourth grade curriculum is aligned with the National Common Core Standards. Reading, English, Spelling, Math, Science, Health, Computer and Physical Education are part of the curriculum. The fourth grade Social Studies content is Ohio History. The year is spent learning all about our great state. In fourth grade the music program consists of chorus and recorders. Religion is taught as a subject as well and our beliefs and values are incorporated throughout the day.

Highlights

Fourth grade is an exciting place to learn and grow. There are many field trips planned  throughout the year with one of them as an all-day , out of town adventure. The fourth grade is part of the Heavenly Hornets choral group who perform throughout the Mahoning Valley. There is also Grandparents Day, the Easter Fest, poster contests, writing contests, the Bowl A Thon, the Christmas Concert and Spring Concert, plays at Powers Auditorium, planning special liturgies and participating in “Race Across Ohio.”
